JACKSON RICHARD & MAHAMOUD MBEGA
Hello
JACKSON RICHARD & MAHAMOUD MBEGA
About Me
Jackson Richard & Mahamod Mbega are Tanzanian contemporary dancers and choreographers who work collaboratively to explore human experiences through movement, physical expression, and performance.

The two artists graduated from Muda Africa Dance School in 2022, where they developed a strong foundation in contemporary dance and began exploring their individual and collaborative approaches to movement creation.

Their artistic practice is deeply connected to the human experience. They are interested in emotions, relationships, personal experiences, and the thoughts and feelings that people often carry within themselves but do not always express. For Jackson and Mahamod, movement becomes a powerful language through which they explore these ideas, communicate emotions, and create meaningful connections with audiences.

They have performed and developed artistic work through various platforms in Tanzania, including the East Africa Biennale, Jukwaa Huru, and Alliance Française Dar es Salaam. Alongside their performance practice, they are also involved in dance teaching and yoga, while continuously developing their skills and creative work as choreographers.

Their collaboration reflects their commitment to using contemporary dance as a tool for storytelling, self-exploration, and meaningful artistic connection.
