Come Experience the Rhythm of Tanzanian Culture!” The Cultural Arts Centre, founded in 2014, is a thriving hub for music and dance in Arusha.
The CAC resident dance/music troupe has given over 800 performances for public and private functions at local, national and international events. CAC regularly welcomes dignitaries to the Arusha area, including Presidents, Ministers and Ambassadors from various countries. CAC artists draw on their various backgrounds and training to create high-energy performances featuring traditional, newly created, and African-fusion ideas.
The CAC has a 435-seat performance space with state-of-the-art sound and lighting. The “drum” building houses CAC offices, exhibition space with many Tanzanian traditional instruments, a music library (6,000 music books and CDs), and a post-production studio. There is also a conference hall, catering facilities, and a dance studio building.
The CAC offers cultural arts experiences for schools and conducts outreach workshops at centres for those with special needs. In addition, the CAC offers technical services (stage rental, sound and lighting systems, backline, trainings). They also consult, construct, and install acoustic panel to improve the acoustic of space fro music.
